I don’t know about you, but I spend a lot of time typing. Letters, emails, instant messaging … in one form or another, typing takes up a lot of my day.
So I must be getting pretty good at it, eh? Am I heck! For every 10 characters I type, I end up having to back-track and retype at least 2 or 3 of them. And I get frustrated at having to type the same piece of text (such as a standard response to certain enquiries) over and over again. How about you?
That’s why I’m absolutely *in love* with this new tool I’ve found called ‘Quick Type’. Quick Type lets you set up ‘keywords’ and associate them with blocks of text. So, whatever application you happen to be using, you just type the keyword and it automatically substitutes your text block for you with 100% accuracy, time and time again. It’s great!
